I spent several hours yesterday editing the 120 or so photos I took of the Northern Lights from our vantage point in Thorsmork, Iceland. We only had a few hours of clear skies, so the opportunity to shoot was limited. Even in that short period, I was in awe. I still am. I can say with some degree of certainty, this was not a “once in a lifetime” trip. 🙂

Whenever someone uses the expression “Once in a lifetime trip,” I change it, in my mind, to “first in a lifetime trip.”
Istanbul is one of those places; as is seeing the Northern Lights!
