I had intended to drive to a spot just down the road from the Bear Divide Vista Picnic Site. Thirteen miles into a 16 mile journey, I was met with an obstacle. The recent rains had made the trip to the top of Sand Canyon Road a bit treacherous, apparently. I can only assume the Sand Canyon Fires left the hills subject to mud slides. So, I was met with the road blocks below, and had to turn around and drive another sunrise spot. Poor me, I had to “settle” for another beautiful sunrise at Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park. 🙂
