No, not the cupcakes, but the sound of fifteen teenagers having a blast in the background. It was my soundtrack at work yesterday, highlighted by their impromptu bursts of lyrics to the songs delivered on demand by Alexa. It was constant, loud and delightful. You wish for many things for your children. Receiving joy from meaningful friendships is certainly one of them.
