These are the last of the edits of photos taken in Grafton, WV last year. I’ve talked about this spot so many times. It is, for me, the quintessential West Virginia country road. When I hear John Denver sing “take me home, country roads,” this is the spot that appears in my mind.
“I hear her voice in the morning hour, she calls me, the radio reminds me of my home far away. And driving down the road I get a feeling that I should have been home yesterday, yesterday.” There have been days when I have driven this short stretch three or four times in a row, for no reason other than sheer enjoyment. I can only hope a few photos give you a sense of its beauty.
