I’m enamored with these weeds. One of the first photos I took with an old 50mm prime lens was of a lone fiddleneck growing on a hill near my house. It’s not rainy enough around here, typically, to produce large volumes of these weeds, but the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve has fields of them. I’m constantly surprised by what brings me joy. These brought me joy.
