Sunset Over Castaic Lake

The best sunset over Castaic Lake is not seen from the usual spots. If you drive a bit further up Lake Hughes Road, bypassing the obvious public parking spot for Castaic Lake views and hikes, you can find spots along the road that would lead you to believe you are farther away from the masses than you actually are. This is one of those spots. And I’ve never seen another person stop here for the view. To the left is the small community of Castaic and then the city of Santa Clarita, but to the right, there is a whole lot of nothing.

    4. Hello, I don’t see these incredible images on your SmugMug site. As a Castaic resident, I’d like to purchase for download if possible. Thx

    5. Joe, thank you for the compliment. I’d be the first to admit that I am my harshest critic and I’m not as diligent in putting up “decent” landscape photos. I’ve put those two up here: Landscapes. Again, thank you.
