Made famous by a photographer named Nicholas Morant, this is a spot the Canadian Pacific railway passes through along the Bow River. Morant was a truly special staff photographer for the railroad. This magical spot is located just off Highway 1a (The Bow Valley Parkway) in the Canadian Rockies East of Lake Louise, Alberta where the CPR mainline parallels the Bow River. Alas, no train passed during our brief stop. You can see a fabulous photo here.
