As I walked to get a second cup of coffee, I could tell the light coming through the kitchen window was just right for a dramatic portrait. So I asked Josh to stand next to the sink and be my model. He never complains about my desire to take photos. He gets it. And I was right about the light. It gently painted the left side of his face. When the shot you see in your head ends up actually being in the camera when you sit down to edit, that’s a win.
