Early morning, perhaps 30 minutes before the official sunrise. This is my favorite time to be in Vasquez Rocks Natural Area Park. I am typically the only human to be seen. It’s magical. And To my friends, if you ever find yourself in the Los Angeles area and want to join me for sunrise, just give me a bit of advance notice so I can scope out the chances of a great sunrise and I’ll be happy to be your guide.
