At the Thousand Oaks Invitational a few weeks earlier, Paige Sommers cleared 14′ 6″, just three inches shy of the national record. It was and is the nations leading height this year. And when Paige made 12′ 6″ looks like child’s play (above) and easily cleared 13′ 6″ (below) on her first attempt at the Don Green Invitational on Saturday, the crowd was buzzing at the thought of a national record attempt.
