Our oldest son, Joshua, was able to come to visit for the first time since the global pandemic left him the only family member not with us in our home. He’s been staying a cabin in the woods up in Humboldt, California. I love taking photos of my children. I find tremendous joy in it. Thankfully, he finds joy in watching me find joy. I love his beautiful energy. During this short photo session in our garage yesterday he said, “This feels very intimate.” Done right, I think a good portrait session most certainly is.
