This is a plant called, “Tree Tobacco.” It’s not native to California and it is invasive, apparently, but I’ve only seen this odd-looking flower along the fence just near the Rene Veluzat Movies entrance. The entrance to this Western set is about three miles from my house and is a turning point onto the fire roads that lead back into the open space hills.
