It’s been months since I’ve seen someone on these trails other than a couple I always pass. The couple always seems to be entering the trails every Saturday morning as I’m leaving them after my long hikes in the Open Space. That’s partly because I start so early, before 5 am, and partly because it’s just a long way back into these trails. But I got a special treat this morning when a portion of the Saugus Track Club passed me on the trail. And it reminded me how much I’ve missed photographing these athletes. I’ve been taking photos of Bella since she was a gremlin with Santa Clarita Storm Track Club, so it was so great to see her smiling and doing what she loves so much. I truly miss track and field!
