Reading Left On My Desk

The vast majority of my book consumption comes via Audible. I listen while I hike. And when your long hike can take five hours, you get a lot of listening in. But I don’t hike on Sundays. So I’ve started setting aside a bit of time to consume books in the traditional way. The books shown above are currently in the funnel – Caste, by Isabel Wilkerson, The Missouri Review (I have no idea who sent it to me, but it looks interesting), and The Art Of The CMA, by Greg Robertson.

    1. I recently facilitated a book club through Caste. We took it in slow over the course of a few weeks. It’s a book that profoundly moved me and changed the lens at which I now view the world through. My hope is that this book gains recognition and finds it’s way into the minds of many of our fellow citizens. Mrs. Wilkerson is deserving of all the accolades she’s recieving for her ongoing work.

    2. Thanks, Brad. I’m taking this one in slowly as well. Lots of yellow highlighters will likely be needed. It is powerful.
