depth and clarity

My walk today was all about depth and clarity. I listened to two podcasts, both involving Sam Harris. The first was on his Making Sense podcast episode titled, Knowing The Mind. He was being interviewed by Stephen Laureys, a Belgian neurologist and neuroscientist, about meditation practice and the scientific study of the mind. The second was on his Waking Up app. In the second, he interviewed Poet David Whyte entitled Identity And Conversation.

It was near the end of my wandering, as I pointed my camera at the blade of grass you see above, that I realized what I had been doing all morning. In walking with my camera and listening to those podcasts, was seeking depth and clarity, in my photos and in myself. Both activities are about embracing the moment and appreciating it fully.

It was a good walk.
