There were a number of records set for some Saugus High School boys on Saturday at Arcadia High School. Below, Brandon Cruz (440) broke the previous Saugus school record held by his teammate, and my son, Zachariah Turner (449). Brandon moved the mark to 49.35. Congrats, Brandon! I have a feeling that may be going lower this year. Above, Isaiah Alvarez set a Personal Record in the long jump of 21′ 7″ and John Riley lowered his 300M hurdles PR to 40.38. The Saugus Sprint Medley Relay also lowered their time to 1:34.78, being narrowly edged out by Burbank which posted a 1:34.67 to take over the state lead in the SMR.
