The Boys 400M Prelims Heat 3 saw Zachariah Turner post a PR and advance to the Foothill League Championship finals as the #1 seed (video). In a year marked by a nagging injury that has kept him from full-speed workouts, this was a surprise. It was a happy surprise since he still isn’t even coming out of blocks! He posted a 49.37, just .02 from the newly posted Saugus High School record. His teammate Brandon Cruz set that new record just a few weeks ago when he broke the previous record that Zachariah set in 2019 as a Sophomore. Nicely done, my son. 🙂
For those curious, these “photos” were pulled from the video of the event. My process looks like this: export video frames to .tiff, open in Adobe Bridge to Camera RAW. In Camera RAW, I use the new “enhance” feature to upscale using AI to 200% and export to .dng. I then import the .dng files to Adobe Lightroom to do the final color processing. Yes, I wish I had a Sony A1 to shoot video at 8k. 🙂
