Shadows and light are what photography is all about. I am never more connected to that truth than when I take a macro lens with me on a hike. I have to look deeper into the shadows to find those gems of contrast, get closer to the subject. And I’m forced to hunt for a light that pierces the shadows and exposes nature’s true beauty.
