This “abstract focal point” was just a happy accident. The bokeh of the light bouncing off the brown tip of the leaf perfectly framed the subject of this image. And I love the colors. I couldn’t see this in the viewfinder, by the way. Or at least I don’t recall seeing it. This kind of serendipity is one of the reasons I love photography.
