It was nice to be able to say face-to-face, “Happy Birthday, Ira!” Ira Serkes and his lovely wife, Carol, were making their way back up to Berkeley after a birthday weekend in LA and decided to make a stop here in Santa Clarita. Ira is also an avid photographer (one of the best blue hour and neon photographers I’ve ever seen, btw), so I brought the Sony A1 with me for him to play with. He, of course, pointed the camera at Carol and quickly fired off sixty 50 megapixel lossless compressed RAW images with zero lag. To say he was impressed would be selling the reaction short.
