Lauren Reed, SR from Long Beach Poly won the Long Jump above (18-7) and the Triple Jump (38-4.5).

The 2022 California Track And Field Winter Championships certainly lived up to the championship standard. There were many stellar performances on this day. A few standouts are featured here, including Servite’s Max Thomas (below) setting a new meet record (15.78) in the 150M, just edging out Long Beach Poly’s Jaelan Knox (15.99). They are the only runners under 16 seconds in Winter Championship history. Fabulous. You can see all of the meet results at PrepCalTrack.com.

Valley View’s Amara Thomas matched the meet High Jump record of 5-5.

I’ve known Jordan Coleman (1761 above) since he was a newborn, so seeing him finish 8th in the 60M in 7.08 was special!

In only his second track meet ever, Bishop Alemany’s Joseph Swen made it to the finals with a 7.18 PR!

Glendora’s Maya Shinnick (344 above) took second place in the 300M with a time of 39.84.

Golden Valley’s Kylee Davis decided to pose. She posted top-five finishes in three events!

San Diego’s Charlize James took the Girls 60M Hurdles in 8.73.
