This is what winter beach volleyball looks like in Huntington Beach in February. I stopped to take a few photos on my way to an Orange County proptech mixer in Newport Beach and couldn’t resist grabbing a few action shots. I took my “old” Sony a7r ii instead of the new Sony A1. It was left at home since I had only intended to shoot a few landscape images. When I hit the shutter button I was shocked at how slow the multi-frame capture was.
In a very short time, I’ve gotten used to the incredible speed of the A1. Frankly, I don’t know how I ever shot action photos with the a7r ii. Anyway, here are some “winter” beach volleyball photos for your enjoyment. 🙂
