A long jump duel occurred on Saturday afternoon at the 2022 Arcadia Invitational between JC Stevenson (Great Oaks) and Elijah Ellis (Golden Valley). Stevenson and Ellis are now the only boys to jump 24 feet in this young 2022 outdoor season. Ellis, who cleared 24′ 0″ at the California Relays a few weeks ago, matched that mark at Arcadia. Stevenson, exceeded his previous 2022 best mark jumping 24′ 9.5″ to win the Invitational Long Jump event. Don’t be surprised if one of these two ends up being the California State Champion at the end of the season!
