“You need to let the little things that would ordinarily bore you suddenly thrill you,” Andy Warhol has famously said. I’ve used this quote many times here. It was relevant today as I stepped outside for a midday break to get in a little zen photography session. I didn’t notice the tiny little creatures swarming this succulent in our backyard until I decided to test a form of macro mode on the Tamron 70-180mm f2.8 Di III XVD lens. It only works at 70mm and only with manual focus. Once I did, the little creatures popped out and Andy Warhol popped into my head. You don’t want to live in my head.
