Inspired by a couple of Twitter posts from The Prefontaine Classic, I decided to present some images from the 2022 CIF State Championship in black and white. The first post that caught my eye showcased the work of black women photographers. The images showcased were emotional and compelling. The second tweet lead to a post titled, “Thompson-Herah and Fraser-Pryce make a statement at Pre Classic.” As it turned out, all of the photos on the site are in black and white.

And while I’ve loved posting some of my composites in black and white, until today, I had never done an entire track meet post in black and white. So I selected some photos I thought might look best in this format and I present them here for your enjoyment today.
