This beautiful lady is not our typical bee. This is a female Carpenter Bee. The bee commonly found in our backyard is the much smaller and more colorful Honey Bee. One day I’m going to go ahead and purchase the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Ultra Macro APO Lens to capture my little friends. Until then, these telephoto close-up shots will have to suffice for a “macro” photo. 🙂
