A few of the macro shots I captured today were almost ethereal. These were not taken with the new Laowa 90mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO that was delivered a few days ago. I took a slew of shots with that lens but didn’t really enjoy using it. Today I needed some fresh air, so I slapped a couple of Movo Extension tubes on my Samyang 85mm f1.4 and roamed the backyard for a bit.

I shot at several different apertures, but the images here were all taken with the lens wide open. I didn’t expect the results I found when I got back to my laptop. The shots feel as if they were taken in a dream. I’ll be doing this again soon, you can count on that.
