The first Simi Valley Winter Championships Qualifier of the season was held on Saturday in what could only be described as “sub-optimal” conditions. There was great hope that the rain would hold off, but that was not the case. So I sucked it up just like the athletes did. I taped a trash bag around my camera gear and borrowed a rain parka from one of the Alemany parents and shot away.
