There were some fast times at Simi Valley High for their second Winter Champs Qualifier of 2023 over the weekend. Some truly stellar performances were witnessed. One of my favorites is shown above. Jordan Coleman (Grenada Hills), who I’ve known since he was a newborn, dropped a 6.83 60M!

Conditions on Saturday were vastly improved over the rain-soaked first Qualifier, and that time ended up being the top qualifying mark for this Saturday’s Winter Championships at Arcadia High School. In fact, three of the top 5 seeds came from this meet, with Jaelon Barbarin (Chaminade, below) posting a 6.93 and Justin Hart (Bishop Alemany) 7.03.
