Feral chickens are everywhere here in the rural area of Oahu, where we’re staying this month. And when I say the chickens are everywhere, I mean roaming beaches, dancing on picnic tables, taking over yards, crossing roads, and stopping traffic. As I type this, a rooster is crowing in harmony with the ocean waves crashing against the shore. And I am here for it.
