We have a sailor in the Turner family now. On Thursday, October 17, Samara graduated from Navy Bootcamp and will now progress to her career training. She has decided to become a Navy Corpsman. A Navy Corpsman, also known as a Hospital Corpsman, is a medical professional who provides medical care to Navy and Marine Corps personnel.
Samara has wanted to be in the military since she was a sophomore in high school. Originally, she thought she might go into the Air Force, but she enlisted first in the Marines. Unfortunately, she fractured her leg in Marine BootCamp and came home, deciding then to pursue a career in the Navy. Only four family members were allowed to attend, so Rocky and I were joined at the graduation by Samara’s sister, Maria, and her Marine husband, Robert! It was a special moment.
Congratulations, Samara. We love you, and we’re proud of you!

A good decision, I think. Na medical career in the Navy should be good. Where will she take her training? Glad we got to see her this summer. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
