It was supposed to be a nice romantic night at the Sandbourne Santa Monica, Room 504. And I came up with a perfect plan. The plan was for Rocky to pick me up from LAX. I was coming back from a 10-day business trip to Dallas. First, we’d watch the sunset over the Santa Monica Pier, then head to dinner at Capo, one of our favorite LA restaurants. Unfortunately, much like the perfect room in Playa Del Carmen, this was not to be. It was a beautiful date night through dessert, but once again, one of us spent the evening in a hospital emergency room. Only this time it was me.
Nothing for anyone to worry about. All is well. However, our string of failed romantic getaways now stands at two in a row. This was a beautiful room, however. 🙂
