Fred Kerley In Black And White

As 2025 comes to an end, I have been digging through unpublished images, and these black-and-white photos of Fred Kerley surfaced along the way. These are from the 2025 Mt. SAC Invitational. At the time, nobody had any clue what was to come for Fred Kerly in 2025.

Pro athletes compete at the Mt. SAC Invitational for its prestigious history, large atmosphere, and early-season test. They also receive World Athletics recognition, earn prize money, and use it as a stepping stone before major championships. It’s a huge event attracting top talent from around the world. And for me, getting my camera this close to these amazing athletes is a real treat.

And Fred Kerley is a name you should probably recognize, even if you don’t follow track and field as closely as our family does. He is an exceptional athlete with world-class speed across. Unfortunately, Fred was “provisionally suspended” by the Athletics Integrity Unit for whereabouts failures over the past year. As a result, he was not allowed to compete at the World Championships in Tokyo.

In September, he announced he would compete in the no-testing “Enhanced Games.” That will likely come with a lengthy ban from World Athletics. Search, and you’ll find a slew of recent posts with titles like “he’s officially gone crazy.” His recent claims are fantastical. I hope he finds his way back.
