Shooting The Moon

In between events at a track meet, I shoot photos of birds, flowers, and bees. And sometimes I try shooting the moon. The guides that give you insight into the best way to shoot the moon, all say to use a tripod. I don’t use a tripod when shooting track meets, so this moon was shot hand-held. The 60-600mm lens is heavy, but in an odd way, it makes it easier to hold still in some situations. This was probably one of those. This was taken at the Trevor Habberstad Invitational.
