I’d say our first sunrise at the Cape Horn viewpoint was worth the predawn drive. Racquel and I both woke up, without an alarm, way too early. So early, in fact, I’m writing this post after a 2-hour nap. The photo above was the pinnacle moment as the sun rose over the Columbia River Gorge. The remaining photos are shown in the order taken. Our first trip here caught us by surprise. Not today. We knew what we were hoping for this time. And nature certainly didn’t disappoint. I’d say our first sunrise at this beautiful spot was a success.
