This is roughly five miles from my land in West Virginia. It’s Valley Falls State Park. And, I’ve never seen it crowded. In fact, I’ve been here at least 100 times and I’ve never seen more than 10 people here. I almost hesitate to post a photo for fear others will say, “wow, that place is gorgeous, let’s go visit.” Some secrets, however, are too good not to share.

If there are multiple photos in this post, the following EXIF data is for the first photo only:

  • Aperture: ƒ/7.1
  • Camera: ILCE-6000
  • Focal length: 16mm
  • ISO: 100
  • Shutter speed: 1/50s
