I really need to make the drive out to Devil’s Punchbowl again soon. Its rock formations are a bit like Vasquez Rocks Nature Area, but the surrounding landscape is more mountainous. The sunrise hits these rocks from the side, so the contrast and shadows are wonderful. It’s worth the drive.
