The sunrise was less than stellar on this foggy morning in San Francisco, but the city itself was quite amazing. There are few things as intriguing as a city waking up to a new day. The absence of people and cars creates dramatic contrast, like early morning sun on hills.
The clock on the Ferry Building reads 5:45 AM. I wandered the area around the Embarcadero for more than an hour before heading off to begin the work part of my day. I love the early morning hours.
