After a long hiatus, evening clouds returned to Santa Clarita last night. It’s been so long that I almost missed the chance to photograph this beautiful sunset. As I stepped out my front door, the sun was just dipping behind the mountains.

By the time I got to “my spot,” the photo above is what I found. The glow was still visible above the horizon and orange was blasted all over the sky. I’m sure the clouds were only teasing me, and they’ll go away for a time again. But I can feel the winter sunsets coming. I can feel it. 🙂
