I do love our sunrises here in Santa Clarita, but every once in a while I get antsy to photograph a different view. Not having enough time to go for a long drive, I decided to just move around a bit. This is where I landed – in the middle of the Santa Clara River.

When I say, “in the middle,” I’m being literal. I’ve never actually seen water running in this “river.” Google maps shows it in blue, however, so I expect at some point in history there may nave been flowing water here. It’s hard to imagine.
