I was half way to LAX on Monday morning when I realized I had left my “real camera” on my desk, all packed up and ready for travel. My tripod was in my checked luggage, and the camera was to be carried onboard with me. In a rush to leave the house, I simply forgot it. I was not a happy camper. Fortunately, Washington D.C. is built for photography, regardless of camera.
It was approaching sunset when we all arrived on the roof of a congressional office building for the Georgia Association of REALTORS® party. As you can see, the view was stunning. I decided to shoot in RAW using the LightRoom app and edit the photos on the desktop as I would have if I had my camera with me. I’m happy I did and obviously pleased enough with the results to share them here. I’ve been delaying upgrading my Phone since I shoot mostly with my Sony a7r II, but instances like this make me long for the ability to do more with the device I have with me all the time. It might be time.
