The trip to Boise was “exploratory.” At least that was the story my son told me when he convinced me to take him to visit Boise State University for their Bronco Day in early April. It was the same weekend his girlfriend and her family were going to be visiting and he assured me, “We are going to take our campus tours at different times so we can come to our own conclusions.” I didn’t buy a word of it, but it was cute. Thankfully, I like her parents and knew we’d have a good time together.

The first evening in Boise I drove the two of them up to Table Rock to watch the sunset. When I snapped the photos in this blog post, I knew the decisions were already being made. While they were staring into the sunset, I was staring into the future… and beginning to make plans for more visits to the beautiful state of Idaho.

Tomorrow these two will graduate from Saugus High School. In less than 90 days, they’ll both be Freshman at Boise State University. Join me in congratulating them both and wishing them much success and many more sunsets at Table Rock.
