Of course, I never fully understood what my Mother was telling me when as a young adult she would say, “you’ll always be my baby.” I began to understand it as the kids got a bit older, but I’m only fully understanding it now. Last year this time we were taking Noah to Boise to drop him off for his first year at Boise State University. He excelled, worked hard, and matured quickly. Still, as he slept next to me in the airport on our layover in Oakland… there he was, still my baby. As all six of our kids are and ever will be. It is truly an amazing thing.
