If I’m not driving, I like trying to capture crisp, motion-free photos out the passenger window. It’s like a game. On a road trip with Mike Whitman and Han Wenstad to backpack into the John Muir Wilderness, we passed these painted hills between Mojave, CA and Red Rock Canyon State Park. In the right light at 1/2000 of a second, you can make just about anything freeze… even at 70mph. 🙂
