A sunrise hike is a Father’s Day tradition for me. This year I chose a local spot, the Haskell Canyon Open Space. Catching the sunrise is also a Thanksgiving tradition. In both cases the purpose is the same, to set my head in the right place for the day. On this day I decided to put my phone on airplane mode for the rest of the day and try to be more present with the children. It worked.
