Arielle Mckenzie, the super sophomore from La Cañada, left everyone and a rainbow behind her as she anchored the La Canada 4 x 800M relay at yesterday’s South Pasadena Winter Championships Qualifier. She PR’d in the 600M with a time of 1:35.06 at the Simi Valley Qualifier last week. And last year, as a freshman, Arielle captured 1st Place in the Girls 800M and 1600M at the CIFS Division 3 finals and the La Cañada 4 x 800M squad was one of the best in the nation. That crew returns 3 of 4 runners this year. I’m still editing the rest of the photos from the meet and should have them all ready by tomorrow. As is my practice, I pick one moment to feature before I finish editing. Rainbows are always special, and so is this young lady.
