The SoCal FroshSoph Championships turned into a rain-soaked spectacle that simply begged to be presented in black and white. I’m a fan of black-and-white images, but I’m particularly fond of track athletes in black and white. So, when it began raining hard at the Simi Valley High School’s Pioneer Stadium, I was already visualizing these images. I could imagine what the water droplets would look like, frozen in time by fast shutter speeds. Here are a few for your enjoyment.
More images from the SoCal FroshSoph Championships will also be posted at PrepCalTrack.com. A link to the full album can be found here: 2024 SoCal FroshSoph Championships. Remember: All proceeds from photos sales are donated to local youth track and field programs!
