The Sofitel Montevideo Carrasco is a glorious old hotel in the heart of Montevideo’s Carrasco area. This part of Montevideo, Uruguay, reminded me of small towns in Spain. The feeling of community wafts through the air, the streets are clean and beautiful, and you feel “at home” almost immediately. There is a calming pace here. And while I’m sure there are rooms in this hotel with a better view, I was pretty happy with room 407. I will be back!

The pictured taken by phone seem excellent.
Aunt Jane, I’m pleased. It doesn’t perform as well as I would like in low light, but for many things, it’s great for how I’d like to move about a travel destination. I’m enjoying it. The benefit of the ProRAW images for someone like me is hard to describe if someone has never worked with RAW camera images before, but it makes a huge difference to me.
