The view from 2 Waterfront Place in Morgantown, West Virginia, was probably even better thirty minutes before this capture. Unfortunately, I was asleep. The alarm had been set for 5:45 am so I could take an early morning call, but life had other plans. Rocky and I were fortunate enough to use my Uncle Wendel and Aunt Jane’s condo in the Marriott Morgantown. We are so very grateful for their hospitality. (My Aunt Jane is a religious commenter here, so I know she’s reading this. We love you both!)
As you can see, it’s located right next to the Monongahela River. Their space has a fabulous view looking South toward Grafton, West Virginia. Since I missed the alarm, the photo above was taken 20-25 minutes after the official sunrise. The photo below was taken just a bit later. I guess we’ll have to come back to get a picture of this place in the height of summer or maybe even in the fall. Perhaps I’ll bring my good camera next time as well. 🙂

Sweet! I’d definitely like to see the ‘good camera’ version of this sometime.
Sunshine came softly to my window today…
