A Turkey Vulture On Hidden Hills

I’ve lived in this Santa Clarita for 20 years and had never seen a Turkey Vulture on Hidden Hills Drive until last week. As we drove out of our neighborhood, it was impossible to miss. It was tearing into a rabbit with its hooked beak. I had my 24-240mm lens on the camera, having shot photos at the Trevor Habberstad Invitational earlier in the day. So we pulled the car over, and I snapped some pictures as we sat in awe, watching it pick every scrap of meat from the carcass.
